Suited with the most sexually-provocative title, the sixth track from Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, “Bed Chem,” infers to Carpenter and her lover’s new-found chemistry, which is the longform of “chem.”

The track is speculated to be about Barry Keoghan of Saltburn fame; who wore a ‘white jacket’ when they first met at Givenchy’s fashion show for Paris Fashion Week in September last year.

The R&B-esque synths reminiscent of songs from the early 2000s were no coincidence, as, during an interview with Paper Magazine, Carpenter harkened her throwback sound from childhood tracks:

I love Christina Aguilera. [She] was one of my very first idols and icons. I was eleven years old and you couldn’t get her name out of my mouth. She’s very special to me. Those songs raised me.
